Introduction
The International Bonus (or Group bonus) is a bonus scheme which is part of the Tesco Reward package and
rewards colleagues in WL3-5 positions for achieving business as well as individual objectives. We have prepared
the International Bonus Policy because we want to be fair and have clear and equal rules for all colleagues who
are entitled to this bonus.
1. Who is this policy for?
This policy applies to all Tesco colleagues in CE working on permanent employment contract who are entitled to
this bonus.
2. Who is eligible for the International bonus?
Eligible are colleagues working on the "bonus positions".
The bonus position category includes colleagues from the HO and DC in WL3-5 positions.
Colleague is eligible for the bonus in case he meets all the following conditions at the same time:
• joined Tesco before December 1st of the evaluated period
• has not given or received notice of termination (or has not signed an agreement on termination of an
employment relationship) until the last calendar day of the month preceding the month in which the
bonus is paid. This does not concern the termination of employment for the reasons given in the table
in paragraph 5.1
• is not in notice period on the last calendar day of the month preceding the day of bonus payment, except
of the reasons given in the table in paragraph 5.1.
Eligible for the bonus are also colleagues who are on maternity or parental leave, unpaid leave or career break,
or who are on long-term sick leave if all above mentioned conditions are met.
The amount of the bonus is calculated based on "Bonus Matrix" where maximum percentages and criteria for
bonus pay-out are set. The Bonus Matrix is an appendix of this policy.
2.1. How will the eligibility to an International bonus change if I change my position?
If you change your position to another one during the evaluated period and this new position is also a bonus
position, this change will not affect your eligibility for the bonus.
If you change a job position during the evaluated period and this new position is not a bonus position, you are
entitled to prorated part of the bonus only for the period in the bonus position.
If you switch to another business unit within the Tesco group during the evaluated period, the entire period of
work in bonus positions in both countries is taken into account. The Bonus is paid by business unit where you
are employed on the last day of the calendar moth preceding the day of the bonus payment.
3. Structure of the International bonus
The International bonus rewards colleagues for the achievement of the following measures:
• Financial targets
• Your contribution - EOY fair rating
